In this referenced discussion they talk about reducing the application log to errors only, still you have an application with one or more errors, and not a single error in the status to the IDOC.
It is like when go to your application log and click the info about error message in the top section, this will automatically apply a filter and only list the errors below and hide the warnings and info messages.
The application log is a totally different table than the IDOC status.
