I resolved it with a simple cross-tab report.
I became confused as I put a wrong field name in the query from VB.
I am sharing the method I used to get the result:
Created a cross-tab report
In columns field, put Date field
In Rows, Employee Name
In summarized field, Sum of OT hours
worked like a charm...
