But you didn't say anything about backup & restore method.
Yes you could perform the procedure with the help of consistent backup with you by restoring on to the system.For this you could consider Homogeneous & Heterogeneous system copy methods.If possible please elaborate your query in detail,means what type of steps/issues you're experiencing during the backup restore method.
