Print Multiple copies of SmartForm using Spool

Hi All,

i want to print multiple copies of a smart form. I am changing passing right data to TDCOPIES field in the FM of smartform.
when the FM executes, it raises a spool request. but the Pages in spool remains 1, irrespective of the no. of copies i specify.
i also tried changing the setting in SPAD.
SPAD>output device>output attribites> copy counter- pass copies as separate output request.

but then i m not getting multiple spools generating. no chnge happens. Only the original print is coming out.
how do i resolve this?
